Two plots of Gant Development to be auctioned

A court enforcement officer to the District Court „Katowice-Wschód” has announced to sell two plots located on Olimpijska St. close to the newly built International Convention Center.

The properties are owned by Arrada, a subsidiary of Gant Development, which is in a liquidation process. In June last year, the bankruptcy procedure has been changed from bankruptcy with the possibility of an arrangement to bankruptcy procedure including liquidation of the bankrupt entity’s assets.

The two Katowice properties are also on the list. The plots total the area of 0,48 ha. The auction will take place on 21st of May 2015. The starting price amounts to PLN 2 million.

Gant was one of the largest housing developers in Poland. Several years ago, the company wanted to build there a mixed-use complex of three high-rise buildings. The scheme has never been carried into effect. In late 2013, Gant declared the bankruptcy caused by, among other things, short term debt related to the volume of bonds issued by the company.
