The intelligent building

In April was taken place the opening of the innovative energy-saving building in Euro-Centrum Industrial Park. The development is instyled as an intelligent because of its modern solutions. The building’s construction and system used enable to save up about 65% of energy. The BMS System controls an inside temperature and decides about heating or cooling. Apart from a heat pomp and special layers of insulation, the building is equipped with the BKT system – a cooling solution which makes central heating and air-conditioning needless. BKT’s pipes are built into reinforced concrete ceilings and flows hot or cold water to each storey. The system works during the week, in weekends goes into dormancy. Building’s arrangement is based on glassy atrium which allows for a continuous light access and helps to save energy.
The building covers area of 2 404 sq. m and cost PLN 10,5 mln as many as a typical, comparable sized building. Was designed by Sławomir Kostur from Project Grupa studio and is modelled after the idea of Weizer Energie-Innovations-Zentrum from Austria.
