“About 45 percent of the retail space is already under contract agreements, also we are finishing a final stage of negotiations for more than 20 percent of the space. Another 20 percent is reserved by tenants which chose a localisation and confirmed general commercial conditions” – said Ewa Marcinek, Managing Director of Silesia City Center.

Among the confirmed tenants are New Look, River Island, H&M, Van Graaf, Pollini, Coccinelle, Cubus, Thai Massage, La Mania, SMYK Megastore, EXIsport, Penny Black, CK Jeans, Red Valentino, Limoni, Liu Jo, Guess Denim, Weekend by Maxmara, Nasz Stomatolog, Clarks and Street Shoes.

“Up till now, the biggest tenants are Van Graaf and H&M which will occupy double-storeyed units covering jointly approximately 5 500 sq. meters” – Ewa Marcinek added. “There are also planned three restaurants and cafes in the extended building”.

Another high-end brand planned for SCC is La Mania. The boutique will be the second store of the firm in Poland (after Warsaw). Established by the businesswoman Joanna Przetakiewicz and the fashion designer Marta Butrym, the brand is patronised by Karl Lagerfeld – fashion designer, head designer and creative director for the fashion house Chanel. The boutique will cover an area of 84 sq. meters with an exceptional design.

“The extending part of Silesia City Center may seem more prestigious than the existing one, but in fact a commercialization of the new stores goes in the direction of attracting tenants which are not present in the region by now. We also want to create a tenant-mix structure where everybody can find something interesting. SCC houses for example the high-end brand of Burberry as well as we attracted New Look and River Island available for everybody” – explained Ewa Marcinek.

The new part of Silesia City Center will deliver 60 new stores covering 20 000 sq. meters. The extension costs nearly EUR 50 million and the Center will increase its area from 66 to 86 thousand sq. meters. According to the SCC representative, a great opening is planned for September/October 2011.
