Silesian Museum shows extension plans

Despite the construction of the Silesian Museum’s new seat is still underway, a concept work has been already commenced on the future extension of the complex. On Tuesday Leszek Jodliński, director of the Museum, presented a draft design of the land development to be implemented in the years to come.

The fore-mentioned area is situated north from the new seat and is also part of the former “Katowice” coal mine.

LC Corp redesigns Roździeńskiego project

In early 2008, LC Corp had bought a construction plot at 10 Roździeńskiego Av. in the City Center and planned to raise a skyscraper. Now the company is applying for new administrative permissions enabling to build there a different type of development. If erected, it will be much lower n comparison with the previous building’s project.

The first scheme of the skyscraper was prepared by the APAKA architectural studio of Stefan Kuryłowicz in 2008.

Geo plans medical center in Katowice

The UCEES architectural studio from Kraków was contracted to prepare a project of the “Ceglana” Medical Center. The undertaking is planned by Geo Group, a real estate developer.

The facility will be located in the area of Ceglana and Wita Stwosza streets. A plot destined for the investment covers 2,3 ha. The complex of a hospital and a health center will total a usable space of 16 500 sq. meters.
