Okam Capital announces new standards on the residential market

Okam Capital, a residential estate’s developer, is preparing to launch its housing scheme in Katowice – “Dom w Dolinie Trzech Stawów” (House in the Three Ponds Valley), a complex of luxury apartments’ buildings. Arie Koren, co-founder and general director of Okam, talks to katowicethecity.com about the market in Katowice and the company’s project in the City.

Okam Capital is investing in several Polish cities including Warsaw, Łódź and Katowice.

Difficulties vs. plans

The housing estate market in Katowice is still the most immature in comparison with the biggest cities of Poland and prices hardly exceed PLN 5 100 per one square meter on average. However, developers active at the City’s market plan to start new residential schemes in the nearest future.

As it was in most of regional Polish cities, Katowice has been suffering from an outflow of residents over the recent years and the number of flats on the secondary market rose.

Three Ponds plot gets new owner

Neptun Development, a subsidiary of OKAM Capital bought a 2,06 ha plot located in the area of Three Ponds. A value of the transaction conducted in mid-March 2011 is estimated at PLN 11,4 million. Today, the developer released a press release and announces to develop a housing estate had planned by the previous plot’s owner, Grupa Bryksy.

The housing estate is designer by Konior Studio and features 252 apartments covering an area from 33 to 107 sq. meters.
