Gide Loyrette Nouel advises Neinver

Law firm Gide Loyrette Nouel has said it advised Spanish retail developer Neinver in connection with the construction of a shopping and office centre fully integrated with the main Railway Station in Katowice. The French-based adviser said it had advised Neinver during tender proceedings and negotiations with PKP on an investment agreement for the construction of Katowice project.

An agent for commercialization chosen

Cushman & Wakefield, a global real estate advisory firm, has been appointed an exclusive agent for the commercialization of shopping gallery in Katowice Railway Station. The project is located at Wilhelma Szewczyka square in the centre of Katowice, Poland, adjacent to a bus station.

Planned modernization of the railway station includes the construction of a complex comprising a railway station, bus station, retail and service centre as well as business and cultural centre.

Neinver plans to demolish cup-shaped pillars, though…

…But will reconstruct them afterwards. The company revealed yesterday that poor condition of reinforcements unable to preserve the sixteen pillars system supporting the roof of Railway Station. Neinver quotes the Silesian University of Technology and its expertise, which claims the pillars reinforcements corroded and corrosion-fatigue will be follow. It unables to adapt the construction of the pillars to the future development of new station.

Neinver presents the Railway Station

Last week, Neinver and PKP S.A (Polish State Railways) officialy presented a plan of Katowice’s Railway Station redevelopment. According to the companies contract, Neinver will develop a complex which mixed functions of a railway station, bus station, retail, business, service and culture use. Moreover, the company will prepare a necessary transport solutions near the station area. The winning project was designed in cooperation with SUD Architectes Studio.
