The biggest net zero energy solar building in Europe

The Upper Silesian Industrial Park (Górnośląski Park Przemysłowy) is going to build a first net zero energy solar building in Poland and the biggest one in Europe. This 7-storey office building will be situated in the North part of Katowice on Konduktorska Street, Wełnowiec district. Its extraordinary construction, projected with help of scientists of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice and the Cracow’s University of Technology, consists of pressure-tight walls and unopening windows.

International Convention Center contest – the Winner

The jury of the International Convention Center contest decided today about the winners. The first price and PLN 100 000 goes to JEMS Architekci. This Warsaw architectural studio was established in 1988 by Olgierd Jagiełło, Maciej Miłobędzki, Jerzy Szczepanik-Dzikowski and Wojciech Zych, most of its projects are based on tectonics and high-tech solutions. The winning project is a simply, two storey structure respecting an easy grade of a level ground.
