EEC 2010: Summary

The European Economic Congress 2010 has come to an end last Wednesday. The largest business event in this part of Europe gathered over 4 000 participants, 60 thematic panels were joined by almost 700 panelists. Debates, sessions and numerous accompanying events took place in 10 locations in Katowice. Congress events and issues were covered by over 300 media representatives.

EEC 2010: Last third day

Almost 30 debates in seven locations, over 200 panelists and workshops by the Ruda Śląska Business Incubator. This was the third and the last day of the European Economic Congress 2010, the largest business event in this part of Europe. Participants discussed such issues as the priorities of the Polish Presidency in the European Union, an automotive sector, hard coal mining, and public and private partnership.

Knowledge and Innovation Communities, transport, finance, economy, sport infrastructure and funding, and health care are only a few of the numerous topics discussed during the second day of the European Economic Congress 2010. On 1st of June, Katowice saw 36 thematic sessions with over 350 panelists. The debates were attended by Minister of Science and Higher Education Barbara Kudrycka, and Director of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology Gérard de Nazelle.

Today, 31st of May 2010, the Second European Economic Congress began in Katowice. The largest business conference under the patronage of José Manuel Barroso was opened by such luminaries as Marshall of the Sejm, Acting President of Poland Bronisław Komorowski, President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek, and President of Poland in 1990-1995 Lech Wałęsa.

EEC 2010 starts on Monday

The Second European Economic Congress 2010 in Katowice starts on Monday, 31st of May. During the three days of 60 sessions, more than 4 000 people of those who are most important for the European economy will participate in the event. Moreover, about 300 journalists and media representatives from Poland and other countries, 100 bodyguards will accompany the participants. The sessions will be held in eight localizations across the City.
