15 600 sq. meters of office spaces are now under construction in the Upper Silesian Industrial Park (GPP) on Konduktorska St. The developer has commenced ground works on two office buildings within GPP Business Park.
The buildings two and three (the first one – called Goeppert-Mayer – was delivered in August last year) will offer 7800 sq. meters of office space each. Both facilities will use the tri-generation system implemented in Goeppert-Mayer. Authorities of GPP want to name the two office buildings after the Nobel prize winners that came from the Upper Silesia – Otto Stern and Kurt Alder. The first building was named after Katowice-born Maria Goeppert-Mayer, a Nobel laureate in physics.
Stern and Adler are scheduled to be delivered next year. “We expect to finish the works on the second building in March 2014. The third one would be delivered in summer the same year, however the exact date depends on demand for our office space” – says Justyna Bartecka, marketing and development manager of GPP. The Spec Bau construction company was appointed a prime contractor of the undertaking.
Goeppert-Mayer is now 70 percent leased. The list of tenants includes Ericsson, ABB and Tax Care, among others.
