Last days a swimming baths complex called “Bugla” was delivered in the Załęże district. The renovated complex was improved by a new water cleaning and heating system, water chute and sanitary facilities. The investment costs are estimated at PLN 15,7 million.

Much more expensive will be a redevelopment of the “GKS Katowice” football stadium. Planned works will cost about PLN 111 million and include a development of four new covered stands for 17 800 seats. Also, the project embraces facilities for players, places for media and congress center.

A following investment plan of the City Hall is to develop a water park in cooperation with a private investor. Currently, negotiations with three interested companies are in progress. The year round water park will offer, except swimming pools, catering units, spa and fitness rooms. A development of hotel or office building is also possible. It depends on chosen investor needs.
