Prime contractor for Philharmonic decided

In November, the Silesian Philharmonic had called for a bid as a prime contractor of the Philharmonic seat’s refurbishment and extension. On Friday, December 18th the bid was decided. Six companies tendered for a contract. The cheapest offer (PLN 20,73 million) was filed by the consortium of Mostostal Warszawa and Acciona Infrastructuras. The second-best price was proposed by Gliwickie Przedsiębiorstwo Budownictwa Przemysłowego (PLN 22,23 m). The third one was Budimex offering its services for PLN 23,15 million.

The construction works are scheduled to finish in November 2011. A total cost of the investment is worth PLN 31,5 million. The EU grant of The Infrastructure and Environment Operational Programme will cover PLN 19,3 million.
