Prime contractor for ICC in request

The City Hall of Katowice issued a call for tenders for construction works of International Convention Center (ICC). Interested companies can file tender documents by 29th of March, 2011.

The Center will be developed near “Spodek” and is going to be one of the buildings creating the future district of culture. The ICC will cover a total area of 34 186 sq. meters. The most characteristic feature of the building is a green valley overpassing the roof. The architectural studio of JEMS Architekci is responsible for the design.

An estimated value of the contract is PLN 237 million. A total cost of the investment amounts PLN 303 million. The project is co-financed from the European Union’s funds. The construction works are scheduled to be finished within a 2 years’ period.
