A cornerstone laying ceremony officially started today works on the House in the Three Ponds Valley (“Dom w Dolinie Trzech Stawów”). It will be the first housing scheme to be built by Okam Capital in Katowice.
The cornerstone was laid by Arie Koren, CEO of Okam Capital, Piotr Uszok, Katowice Mayor, Tomasz Konior from Konior Studio, a designer of the estate and representatives of Hochtief Polska, a prime contractor of the works.
“We have decided to invest in the fast developing region of Upper Silesia. The most suitable location for a housing estate far from the city turmoil we found in the pictorial Three Ponds Valley in Katowice. This is one of the best localizations not only in Silesia voivodeship but also in Poland” – said Arie Koren.
“I am glad the project starts. The investment stimulates the local housing market and improves the image of Katowice. The modern estate perfectly correspond to new public investments that all together create a concept of the dynamically growing City” – said Piotr Uszok.
The House in the Three Ponds Valley will be built in three stages at 47 Sikorskiego St. The AB segment – two buildings, 8- and 9-storeyed plus one underground level as a car park – will consist of 108 apartments to be erected in the first stage. The two facilities will be delivered in the third quarter of 2014. Almost one-fifth of the offer is already reserved.
“Our customers are mostly interested in 3-room apartments covering an area between 60 and 70 sq. meters” – explained Michał Skwarek, sales and marketing manager at Okam Capital. Future inhabitants have to pay from PLN 5 900 to 7 000 per one square meter at the moment.
There will be 263 apartments, 11 retail units and 362 parking places in the entire complex. A realization schedule of the next two stages (CD and EFG) will depend on market needs. However, Hochtief was already contracted to erect all the three stages. Okam will pay the prime contractor approximately USD 20 million for conducting the construction work.
Okam has been operating in the Polish real estate market for 5 years. The company was involved in residential projects in Israel and Cyprus. Currently, it invests also in the biggest cities in Poland.
