Low costs architecture

A new housing estate of two buildings was delivered in the junction of Dębowa and Sportowa Streets in the Dąb district. Buildings were raised by “Towarzystwo Budownictwa Społecznego” (TBS) on order of the City Hall. The architectural design was prepared by “Biuro Projektów Architektonicznych Pallado i Skupin” known for its previous project of the “Bulwary Rawy” housing estate erected by TBS as well.

With relation to a low budget of the investment, the architectural studio had to give up on some solutions. For example, cheaper construction materials were used during the development and apartments are unbalconied. In return, the studio designed oblong windows reaching from the floor to the ceiling for a better day light supply. To diversify and energize a simple shape of buildings, colourful elements were applied to the elevation.

The complex offers 85 apartments including maisonettes as well as in-built garages and commercial spaces in one of buildings.
