.KTW will be the name of the office complex and is an abbreviation of „Katowice” used in the aviation transport. The dot placed in the name also means an end of the former function of the site and a new beginning. The logo refers to a shape of the buildings.

„The chosen name is an expression of respect towards Katowice, as well as the philosophy that lies behind the fulfillment of our project. In the long-term, through architecture, leasing policies, and our way of managing the complex, we are aspiring to become one of the truly positive examples of change in the region, which – as people tend to forget – is one of the strongest economic centers in our country” – says Maciej Wójcik, CEO of TDJ Estate. „We believe that the great advantage of our investment is going to be its distinctive but at the same time modest shape, different to other investments currently executed in Poland” – he adds.

According to the developer, two skyscrapers will be built in the place of „DOKP” having the potential to become the most significant business location in southern Poland. The majority of space inside both buildings is going to serve as office areas, complemented by a retail and commercial spaces, including a canteen, bank unit, companies from the financial sector, medical center and a café. It is also certain that the project will be executed in stages – both buildings are not going to be built simultaneously, but in two stages. The purpose of this is to provide opportunities for smooth commercialization and create flexible development perspectives for future tenants.

The presentation of the office complex will take place during the European Economic Congress, the most important business event in this part of Europe. „It would be hard to imagine a better opportunity to promote our facility than during an event that attracts thousands of business representatives and public authorities to Katowice each year – including heads of European governments and EU commissioners. We also want to take advantage of the fact that the three-day event is going to take place at a venue located directly in the neighbourhood of our property” – adds Maciej Wójcik.

The construction plot is located at 1 Roździeńskiego Av. Demolition works on the former „DOKP” building were finished in February. The process of choosing a prime contractor is at an advanced stage and should be finalized within the next two months.
