Katowice wants IBM

IBM is considering opening a plant in Poland that would employ up to 3 000 people, according to Gazeta Wyborcza newspaper. It might be the biggest IT invest in Poland. Two Polish cities, Katowice and Wrocław are competing against Egyptian Cairo and Romanian Bucarest. Katowice and Wrocław were visited last week by the heads of IBM when the presentation of both cities took place. Today, the American company’s vice president has seen Katowice once more. Tomorrow, Wrocław is going to be visited. Decision about plant’s opening will be made in few weeks.
