After several weeks of slowdown of the Silesian Philharmonic’s redevelopment due to unplanned additional works on load-bearing walls which had to be reinforced, construction works are to back on its previously scheduled track now.
A construction crew is currently involved in a dismantling of walls and ceiling facing. To strengthen the building, its walls have to be anchored. Next, foundations are to be improved by using a jet grouting technique.
Due to the additional works, the final completion of redevelopment will take about 6 months longer and was postponed to mid-2012. A total cost of the investment is PLN 31,47 million and is co-financed by the European Union.
