Ground-making for foundation

In Monday, a press conference took place in the Rector’s Office of the Silesian University. The meeting concerned, among other things, the investment financing matters of the Scientific Information Centre and Academic Library and a partnership between the Silesian University and the University of Economics which are responsible for the realization of the project. Administrative authorities as Elżbieta Bieńkowska, Minister of Regional Development and Bogusław Śmigielski, Marshal of Silesian Voivodeship took part in the conference.

According to the press office of Mostostal Warszawa, the prime contractor of the SICAL building, the site preparation works and piling are already finished. Currently, the digs are bringing to a close. Remaining works embrace a ground making for an insulation and a reinforced concrete foundation.
