European mining summit starts in Katowice

The International Fair of Mining, Power industry and Metallurgy – Katowice 2015 starts in Katowice on Tuesday. It is the biggest mining show in Europe, according to Polska Technika Górnicza, an organizer of the event.

This four-day event, with over 400 exhibitors from 20 countries and 30 000 visitors, will take place in „Spodek” and in the International Convention Center between 8th and 11th of September. The exhibition area of this year’s edition will cover 30 000 sq. meters and will be also located at the square in front of both venues.

The event has a 30-year-old tradition and is organized biennially in Katowice. Comprehensive services for mining, power and metallurgy industries, from designing to longwall complexes supplying, will be offered during the meeting. The focus of the event is mining equipment and services suited for European and Asian markets. The fair also includes numerous international conferences and symposiums.

Polska Technika Górnicza was created by the group of mining companies including: Kopex, Famur, Glinik, Stomil Wolbrom, Carboautomatyka and Damel. The company is based in Katowice.
