European Congress of SME in numbers

68 discussion panels, 27 inward missions from 21 countries, 4 days of duration, 8 venues – these are the numbers of the II European Congress of Small and Medium – Size Enterprises. The event took place between 24th and 27th of September in Katowice.

The Congress was attended by, among others, Lech Wałęsa, Polish president in the years 1990-1995, Jerzy Buzek, member of the European Parliament, Elżbieta Bieńkowska, Minister of Regional Development and Waldemar Pawlak, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy. Also, the 27 inward missions were representing such countries as Azerbaijan, Belgium, Belarus, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Portugal, Russia, Romania and Ukraine.

The event gathered approximately 3 thousand participants and 250 panelists representing business, academia, government and administration. Also, the Business Expo fair accompanied the Congress where about 100 exhibitors presented their offers.

The II European Congress of Small and Medium – Size Enterprises was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Katowice.
