The Science and Technology Park of Euro-Centrum is concluding works on the extension of the innovative and energy-efficient building. The construction work on the new assembly and warehouse hall are expected to be done in a few months. Also, the park has already announced to start a new project next year.
The works on the two buildings – the extension of the innovative and energy-efficient building and the hall – were commenced in June 2014. The building’s new elevation is almost done and inside fit-out is now being executed. A shell of the hall should be completed by the end of this year – concrete works and brick laying are expected to be finished this month, while windows and doors will be installed in December. Both buildings will be delivered in the first quarter of 2015.
Additional two office storeys were added at the top of the three-storey innovative and energy-efficient facility, which had been erected in 2009. This way, the total area of the building will be expanded by approximately 1 400 sq. meters. The most important feature of the new assembly and warehouse hall will be a demonstration plant of about 800 modules of photovoltaic cells with a rated power of 180 kWp. The installation will be used for the research of efficiency of the photovoltaic modules. It will also become an integral part of the smart grids’ laboratory.
The park also reported about its newest undertaking. „At present we are preparing for development of a new facility. Part of it was designed for exhibition purposes of manufacturers and suppliers of energy-saving technologies and renewable energy sources. The building will be raised next year. Procedures are now underway to choose a prime contractor. We should know the company name in December” – explained Agnieszka Zięcina, director of public relations at the Science and Technology Park of Euro-Centrum.
The development undertakings are the next element of the „Creating of the Science and Technology Park of Euro-Centrum” project, which is co-financed from the European Regional Development Fund within the Innovative Economy Operational Programme. The Science and Technology Park of Euro-Centrum is located at 103 Ligocka St.
