Erbud will revamp laundry into Simulation Center

The Medical University of Silesia chose Erbud S.A. as a prime contractor for a redevelopment of a closed hospital laundry into the Didactics and Medical Simulation Center and signed a contract worth PLN 11,2 million with the company. Erbud will have 18 months to finish building works. A total amount of the investment estimated at PLN 33,5 million will allow to revamp the two-storey building into the ultra-modern Center with necessary equipment.

The only institution of that kind in Poland will offer its students simulation techniques rooms, as well as mannequins, a programming center and a self-assessment room. Simulators will give students a chance to train practical skills, making and analyzing mistakes, increasing patient safety and team work. An information-communication technology (ICT) will be applied in the building. The ICT will enable to access databases like medical files, magazines and scripts. A multimedia lecture hall will be equipped in LCD screens and 3D screening technology.
