Creating Smarter City

Between 5th and 23rd of July, the team of six top IBM managers from the USA, India and Singapore continues the second part of the Executive Service Corps initiative in Katowice. The Team 2 passed a first week of the visit. As it was in May, the IBMers will live in the City for three weeks and are collecting information during meetings to prepare final solutions and activities for Katowice and Agglomeration. They focus on several areas which were suggested and diagnosed by the May’s Team 1.

• The Team 2 focuses on three areas:
  - economic development (including a new strategy of promotion, concept of cooperation between science, business and government)
  - well designed city (including intelligent transport systems, traffic management)
  - city of digital innovation (including shared service center, portals for communication with citizens, tools for cooperation between science, business and government)
