Conference: Katowice as an outsourcing hub

The City Hall of Katowice in cooperation with the American Chamber of Commerce in Poland, Katowice Special Economic Zone and Association of Business Service Leaders in Poland are organizing a conference “Katowice – Clean, Green and Talent-Driven SSC/BPO/ITO Hub in Central Europe”.

An aim of the event is to bright together decision makers, thought leaders, and government representatives to collaborate on subjects involving information technology outsourcing (ITO) and business process outsourcing (BPO). The participants will be introduced to Katowice as an attractive ITO/BPO hub in Europe.

The conference will be opened by mayor Piotr Uszok. The conference’s presentations are to be given by Paweł Panczyj – Advisor at Ernst & Young, Jacek Frączek PhD – Silesian University of Technology, Katarzyna Unold – Green Business Manager, Skanska Property Poland, Paul Fogo – Board Member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Poland, Piotr Wojaczek – President of the Katowice Special Economic Zone and Mateusz Skowroński – Mayor’s Plenipotentiary for Strategic Investors.

Also, panel discussions concerning business services in Poland, threads and opportunities are planned during the conference. The organizers invited for the discussion, among others, Jolanta Jaworska – Governmental Programs Director IBM CEE, IBM, Dave Gibson – General Manager, Fluor and Marcin Nowak – Delivery Centre Director IOS CapGemini.
