Katowice-Pyrzowice Airport will be the first one to offer direct all cargo flights from Poland to North America. A weekly trans-Atlantic flight between Hamilton International Airport near Toronto, Canada and Katowice will be operated every Saturday. The schedules have been designed to meet the increasing needs and requirements of air cargo shippers in North America and Eastern Europe.
Polish Railway Lines (PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe) has signed a contract for technical and project documentation of a railway line connecting Katowice and Katowice’s Airport in Pyrzowice. The contract is worth PLN 52 million and will be prepared by consortium of Poeyry Infra and DB International. The consortium has 600 days to prepare the documentation including all administrative permissions as a building permit, environmental constraints and a motion for the EU grant.
Katowice Airport, the second polish biggest regional airport haven’t got own logotype. Until now. A competitive tender was won by the advertising agency Mamastudio from Warsaw. Three of the logo’s colours symbolize air-market segments – business flights (blue), charter flights (yellow) and low-cost flights (green).
