Burberry opens store in Katowice

Burberry, a 154-year-old British luxury fashion house, is going to open its first store in Katowice this month. The brand chosen Silesia City Center for the location. The store covers an area of 220 sq. meters and was designed by the Burberry’s creative director, Christopher Bailey. It is the third location of the brand in Poland after Warsaw and Poznań.

The fashion house is represented in Poland by Paradise Group, a subsidiary of Alma Market.

Burberry was founded in 1856 by 21-year-old Thomas Burberry, a former draper’s apprentice, who opened his own store in Basingstoke, Hampshire, England. Today, Burberry is a world’s recognizable fashion house manufacturing clothing, fragrance and fashion accessories known for its distinctive tartan pattern. The company is listed on the London Stock Exchange.

Burberry currently has 139 stores worldwide.
