Polish Hotel Company (PHC) prepares to launch its first hotel project in the City. Construction works will be kicked-off very soon according to the developer.

katowicethecity.com informed about the plans of PHC in December. The facility called Holiday Inn Express Katowice will be a three-star hotel comprising 124 rooms for guests. The four-storey building will be located on Wojewódzka St. opposite the Old Railway Station.

“Polish Hotel Company already obtained a valid building permit for this project and we expect to start the works in the second quarter of this year” – said Miguel Martins, general manager at PHC.

This new hotel investment will be carried out in co-operation with InterContinental Hotels Group. The Holiday Inn Express brand was established by IHG in the U.S. in 1991. Now there are approximately 2 200 hotels of the chain worldwide, promoted as economy budget hospitality facilities and “uncomplicated hotels providing a comfortable stay”.
