Cultural district under construction

The new seats of Silesian Museum, National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra and International Convention Center – all the three venues are being currently erected in the place of the former “Katowice” coal mine. The facilities, together with the refurbished “Spodek” hall and the new roads in the area, will create the cultural district – an exceptional undertaking in the scale of Poland.

Echo prepares for kick-off

Echo Investment is preparing to launch the first stage of its office project on Francuska St. The surrounding road infrastructure is to be built in the first instance.

According to the developer, works on the new road system within the future office complex will be started in the second half of June this year. “A prime contractor of the first building will be chosen in the third quarter of 2012. We plan to kick-off the construction work in the last quarter.

Gant still interested to build in cultural district

But there are also several private investors who own plots in the area of the former “Katowice” coal mine and may invest. One of them is Gant Development, a Polish developer and building company.
